Today, on Good Friday, we enter into the stillness and somberness of the mystery of the Cross. We pause to keep watch and pray and gaze upon the face our bruised and battered God. A God who willingly gave of himself on this disgraceful instrument of torture and brutality.

The state of Georgia announced that Willie James Pye is scheduled to be executed on Wednesday, March 20, at 7:00 p.m. If carried out, this will be the first execution in Georgia in over four years.
